Besides using the primary scripture of Gen 12:2-3 as given in the section “Who We Are” that undergirds the basis of Bless Israel Investments, there are key scriptural commandments that we need to be aware of to become successful in anything we put our hand to, investing included.
First, we need to establish the proper priorities from the word of God so we can understand the authority under which we can properly and successfully invest and trade. These priorities are fundamental, yet critical to the prosperity of the believer. The following would be a partial list of admonitions to hold fast to.
1) Love thy God with all your heart, soul and mind. In other words, you shall have no other gods before Me (the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and His son, Jesus) as the first commandment given by God Himself, found in Exodus 20:3. This is absolutely fundamental. For holding to this command, you shall be protected against the love of money, which is the root of all evil. Also, you will be protected from serving mammon, which Jesus said we should not serve as given in Matt. 6:24. We truly believe in the saying that 'money should be your servant, not your master.'
2) Be properly motivated for success in investing/trading. In other words, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all the additional blessings will be added unto you” (Matt. 6:33). Keep your motive on the premise to bless the Lord and the expansion of His kingdom, not your own.
3) By following steps 1 and 2, then you will be automatically faithful to appropriate the tithes and offerings which the Lord God expects of you as given in Malachi 3: 8-10. It is important to note the promise that verse 10 pronounces, “Test me in this”, says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have enough room for it.”
We at Bless Israel Investments truly believe that the provision to tithe and offer comes from God in the first place. Therefore, giving back to God just 10% in tithes and any amount over in offerings is a minimum to show our trust and love to Him. And doing so cheerfully will only help to open the floodgates even more so. I pray you will test Him in this.
Also, we believe that Jesus confirmed this Old Testament principle in the New Testament when He said that He was the fulfillment of both the law and the prophets (Matt 5:17). Not only that, but we believe that Jesus who was Melchizedek, or at least a form and type, gives the ultimate blessing from our tithes unto Him….”Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the plunder! The sons of Levi who receive the priestly office have a commandment according to the law to collect a tenth from the people -that is, from their brothers -though they have also descended from Abraham. But one without this lineage (Melchizedek) collected tithes from Abraham and blessed the one (Abraham and his descendents) who had the promises. Without a doubt, the inferior is blessed by the superior….” (Heb 7:4-7)
Here we see the communal aspiration of not just blessing for the results of receiving the blessing, but that by so doing, we, the inferior are blessed by the superior. What a wonderful promise.
